This is so absolutely cool you are not going to believe it. We have to make fun of ourselves and say Welcome Frugal Fairhope to the electronics age. Here is our story:

We may have mentioned this or not we are very much into solar power we won’t go into too much detail (yet) but we needed to replace our old Brother All In One printer  because a) it is not necessary to spend $80 on toner and b) it wastes a lot of power to run. On our way out the door to Staples last night, we printed the 15% & $50 off $199 printer Staples coupons. We went through all the printer options and decided to purchased a $199 HP printer. The cheaper Brother printer had the same problem our current Brother printer has, the lid breaks at the hinges.

HP Officejet 6500A Plus $199
-$50 instant savings
-$50 off $199 printable coupon from circular ad
-$20 15% off printable coupon from the circular ad
Out of Pocket: $77
-Receive $7 in Staples Rewards for purchase
Final Price: $70

We were able to print both coupons to purchase the HP printer, the coupons do not limit the use of each other. We confirmed this with the manger that we were understanding the coupons correctly. Awesome right? It gets better.

The new HP Officejet has the ability to not only print coupons from our Android (if we can figure it out) and iPhone but it also has the ability to print directly from the printer!  This new printer has web access with an IP address. So let’s count how many A1 coupons we have printed.

  1. Home Computer – 2 prints
  2. Laptop – 2 prints
  3. iPhone – 2 prints
  4. Printer – 2 prints

8 prints from the ability of buying a new printer Yeah!!! Can you see us jumping up and down. We are still working on how not to print in color from the printer and phones and how to get our android phone to print.

So who wants our $3 Similac coupons?

One Winner will be able to stock up on Similac and will receive at least 3 $3 coupons maybe more if we can get the android to start printing.

Where oh where can my Glove Box be? Oh where oh where can it be?

| January 6, 2011

Singing the blues? Having withdraws from the missing Glove Box coupons ($X off $XX)?  We have received so many emails on this topic we can’t even begin to count them.

Stay tuned for more…not what you expect…better.

While you are waiting here are some tips for getting those Glove Box coupons.

Rite Aid - The “word on the street” is no more Glove Box pdfs. :-(   We can’t completely confirm this but it is not looking good. There is a video coupon but Publix in Daphne and Fairhope will not take this coupon. Everything changes so keep asking, they might just say “yes”.

Winn Dixie - It has been a long time since a coupon printed for us, so long that you might hear us when we do get one. We did receive this $5 off $30 in the mail as being part of the Winn Dixie Baby Club. Sign up on the Winn Dixie site.

CVS – Look for coupons on Thursday and Friday about every other week by email. Sometimes they send out the % off coupons that Publix won’t take but keep your fingers crossed. We will comment on our Facebook Fan page when we get one.

Publix -The Island Clipper magazine can be found in the Gulf Shores and Orange Beach stores and on line. There is a $5 off $50 coupon that specifically states to only be used at those stores but never hurts to ask. This coupon can be printed from the web site.

Bruno’s – Sometimes you will find these in circulars and of course we will be shouting it from the roof tops if we find one.

Dollar General – Surprisingly Dollar General has issued a few Glove Box coupons for the past couple of months. The coupons are limited to one day but Fairhope and Daphne Publix will take them. The next one is 1/8 and has been posted below.
