Did staples change the way the 15% back to school savings pass works?
Last year, any savings on rebate items was deducted from the amount of the rebate. In other words, you don’t really save on rebate items using the savings pass.
So, using a ream of paper as an example…
Without savings pass: $6.99 – $5.99 rebate = $1
With savings pass: $5.94 – $4.94 rebate = $1
On this transaction, that would mean $16.68 total in rebates ($19.98 w/o savings pass).
Unless am I missing something?
Ryan,
You could be thinking of Staples Rewards which will decrease in value for any coupons you use. Staples Rebate will not (unless they have changed it this year). We are still waiting on our first Staples Rebate (with the Savings Pass).
Tracking my rebates it looks like they are the full value.
Frances
