We used a $5 Publix gift card that came in the mail from a rebate.

We tried to purchase the Sun Bird seasonings using the B1G1 and $1 coupon but the Malbis store would not allow?  We also heard from a reader that they had problems using these coupons in the Pensacola stores. We have not had this problem in the past, maybe this is a new Publix policy that you can’t use a B1G1 & $x/1 coupon on two products? Anyone else having this problem?

Hi Frances, we went to Fairhope Publix yesterday and something is changing in their Coupon Policy. I bought 4 Nabisco Crackers and used a B2G1 Free coupon and tried to use 2 $1/2 and the cashier told me I had to have 7 Nabisco Crackrs in total, and I ask her why? and she said the B2G1 Free covers for 3 crackers if you want to use the other 2 $1/2 you need 3 more crackers so we called the Manager and he said that I can use the all the coupons, but I needed 5 crackers in total. I am very confused. Does this mean that they are not going to allowed a B1G1 and a $/1 or a $/2 ?

  2. Frances says:

    Noah,

The B2G1 attaches to one. The use of 2 $1/2 & B2G1 would not work with the purchase of 4 crackers, you would have to purchase a 5th.

    Cracker B2G1
    Cracker $1/2
    Cracker – (above coupon attaches)
    Cracker $x/1

    Hope this helps

    Frances

what I was told (Penscola store) is that when using a MQ on PUBLIX BOGO SALE ITEM/S …THEN (supposedly) you can use a (this is a hypothetical scenario) B2G1 MQ PLUS a $1/2 MQ (plus any store or competitor you may have). HOWEVER…when the items you are buying are NOT part of an ongoing bogo sale…. then the B2G1 MQ would attach to all 3 items.
I think that souds silly…what difference should it make if the product is included in an ongoing store sale or not?

I bought 6 boxes of crackers in Spanish Fort and used 2 B2G1 and 2 $1/2 with no problems. They (Sp. Fort) have stopped taking multiple Target coupons though. Target has changed the verbage on the coupon….used to say “one per transaction” now says ” one per customer”. Even at Target I have used up to 5 Target coupons in one transaction. I asked first of course.

    What location was this store?

I meant Malbis..I am used to calling it Spanish Fort, there’s such a fine line in between,
