What is the Publix coupon policy?
- Publix accepts manufacturers’ coupons (limit one per item),
- Publix coupons (originals only—no copies), valid Internet coupons, and coupons from nearby competitors identified by each Publix store. (Competitor names are posted at each Publix store.)
- We will accept coupons from competing pharmacies for prescriptions only.
- We will not accept percent-off-items or percent-off-total-order coupons.
- We will only accept coupons for identical merchandise we sell.
- Acceptance is subject to any restrictions on the coupon, and we reserve the right to limit quantities.
- Manager approval is needed for individual coupons above $5.00.
- For a buy-one-get-one free (BOGO) offer, each item is considered a separate sale.
- We will accept a manufacturer’s coupon and either a Publix or a competitor coupon on the same item.
- Dollars-off-total-order coupons will be limited to one Publix AND one competitor coupon per order.
- The order total must be equal to or greater than the total purchase requirements indicated on the coupon(s) presented.

Does this mean that Fairhope or Daphne Publix will not accept Walgreen Registered Rewards any longer? Thanks!
Bethany,
No this is just a list of competitor coupons that they will take. Walgreen’s Register Rewards are not competitor coupons.
Frances
I was in the Daphne Publix store last night and was told that they will no longer accept Rite Aid coupons. After Sept. 9th.
I was handed a piece of paper with the nearby competitors which they will accept coupons from…..
Bruno’s
Dollar General
Save-A-Lot
Target
Winn Dixie
Can you explain why Publix won’t take the Walgreens coupons from the monthly books? Or why instead Walgreens isn’t a competitor? They take coupons printed from Targets website but not from an actual printed book?
Jennifer,
Of course I dont’ speak for Publix but here is my take on it: Publix changed their competitors as of May of this year. They are no longer considering a drug store as a grocery competitor. Walgreen’s coupons are Walgreen’s store coupons. They consider Target a grocery store and a competitor.
