Are Birthday Gifts A Stockpile Item?

img_8716

We talked about this in today’s Pace workshop, we routinely stockpile birthday and Christmas presents throughout the year for the Little One’s friends. This helps us avoid that last minute $19.95 Walmart Got to Find a Birthday Present for Tomorrow rush to the store. We have all done it, we have purchased a gift at the last minute and paid full price. If you keep an eye out throughout the year, and stockpile those gifts, you will already have the gift at home when you need it. We won’t stockpile more than the current years gifts. We don’t want items around the house that we may not use because we forgot about it. Go ahead and make a mental note of your little one’s friends and keep a lookout for age appropriate gifts that are at dramatically discounted prices. This is a perfect example of stockpiling boy birthday gifts for the Little One’s friends. We had purchased the Strawberry Shortcake toys for the girls a couple weeks from Walmart. Here is what we purchased:

7 Strawberry Shortcake Toys $4.50 $3 & $2 = $20
-$5 Hasbro Strawberry Shortcake purchase $20 or more printable
Final Price: $2.14 each!

FFF Tip: These were marked $4.50 but we scanned them before heading to the register and the $4.50 boxes scanned at $3. As always we left some for others. As much as we wanted to use our 2nd coupon we held back and thought we would give some of you an opportunity to get on this great deal.

We have been looking for gifts for the boys, we found a great gift for $1.30 each ($2.59/2) at the University Town Publix store in Pace. Our Fairhope store has yet to have this great of deals on toys or summer items.
