Walgreens Register Rewards (RRs) are basically store credit that can be used on your next purchase. They print out after your transaction. Walgreen’s RRs will roll over, as long as you don’t use a RR that is for the same company. You can not use a Walgreens Register Reward and a manufacture coupon for the same item without the purchase of a filler.
Walgreens will not give you overage for a coupon but it will be adjusted down to zero, according to their coupon policy. If you use a manufacture coupon for one item and pay with a Register Reward you must purchase a filler in order for the transaction to go through. If you have been following Frugal Fairhope for years now you may have guessed that seems like a long time since we have stockpiled our families deodorant. The bottom of the box was visible so it was time to start watching for the deals. Typically it takes us several weeks to build up a stockpile but this week at CVS was good enough for us to get it all done in two shopping trips. Don’t worry we left plenty on the shelf at both stores and we use only one card (limit 2 deals per card)! We even left a 2pk for $2.99 that is eligible for the ECBs deal for that lucky reader that gets there first.
There have been some reports that the B1G1 Speed Stick coupon is taking off $3.99 (regular price) instead of $1.99 (sales price). This is not happening in our area but there are reports that there are CVS stores in Pensacola where this deal got a lot better.

Use these coupons at Walgreen’s in combination with manufacture coupons when these products go on sale. You can show the cashier the Walgreen’s coupon from this book and you don’t have to “clip” it. Use only one of these coupons for several items that you purchased, the register will automatically deduct it for all the items that you have purchased with the scan of one coupon. These coupons are also available online but save your ink and get them in the stores.
We have gotten reports that some cashiers are telling their customers that the coupons inside the Walgreen’s coupon books are manufacture coupons. Recently there was a news report on NPR about kicking habits. Their theory was the only way to change any habit is to stop the routine. The example they used was in Vietnam, 20% of the men were addicted to heroin. They made these men stay in Vietnam until they “dried out”. After these men returned to the states they followed up and found that 95% of the men who were addicted, never returned to drugs after returning to the states. That is amazing!
“Once a behavior had been repeated a lot, especially if the person does it in the same setting, you can successfully change what people want to do. But if they’ve done it enough, their behavior doesn’t follow their intentions,”
“For a smoker the view of the entrance to their office building — which is a place that they go to smoke all the time — becomes a powerful mental cue to go and perform that behavior,”

Here are some tips to kick it.
Try using candy or gum in the car to break the habit of driving while smoking. Have your car cleaned or clean it with vinegar and water to get the smoke out (wipe down everything).
Do you have another door you can enter and leave your house? Remove the chairs where you have been smoking (if applicable).
Instead of a smoke break at lunch, go for a short walk. Stay away from the kitchen!
Do not use the same gas station/store where you have previously bought cigarettes. Go out of your way to use a less familiar store.
