Finish: It appears that the blinkie machines have been restocked at the Fairhope Publix store. If the machine next to the products are out, you can get a $3 printable coupon here. If you still have the $4 Rite Aid coupon this would be a money maker. We had already used ours in a previous transaction.

Cinnabon: If you have been reading Frugal Fairhope a while you know that this is the second time we have applied for this mail in rebate. We buy for more than one household.

The new Green Advantage Buyer Coupon book is available at the Fairhope Publix store. You can find this coupon book at the customer service desk. Make sure you ask for any additional coupons they may have. The Fairhope Publix store pulls all the tear pads and coupons from their shelves and gives them out at the customer service desk. The new Yellow Advantage Buyer Coupon book is available at the Fairhope Publix store. You can find this coupon book at the customer service desk. Make sure you ask for any additional coupons they may have. The Fairhope Publix store pulls all the tear pads and coupons from their shelves and gives them out at the customer service desk. We have seen stacks of tear pads along with a basket of coupons. There is a limit of one per visit. Also ask for any additional coupon books they may have behind the counter.

Wondering about the title “Blueberry Ink”? This purchase got us to thinking about blueberries and how Civil War soldiers would use blueberries to write letters. If you have picked blueberries you know of the staining blueberry juice has on fingers and on your clothes. During the Civil War soldiers took advantage of this and used blueberry juice to write letters home.

Here is what you will need:
1/2 cup blueberries
1/2 tsp vinegar
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp water (if needed)

1. Place blueberries into a strainer, under a bowl, and mash them to save the blueberry juice. Leave the strainer over the bowl to drain to get all the juice.
2. Add 1/2 tsp of vinegar and 1/2 tsp of salt to the juice. stir until blended
3. Add 1 tsp water to thicken if the ink is too thick, stir until blended
4. Use a sharpened feather or a quill pen to dip in the blueberry ink
