Dollar General Internet Coupon Policy
We received the following email from Dollar General Customer Service this morning. This is in our response to our question about Dollar General accepting printable coupons.
Thank you for your e-mail.
Dollar General is pleased to accept manufacturer coupons at any of our more than 8,100 stores. If you have five coupons for five products, you may use them in one transaction unless the coupon states otherwise. If the coupon states that it is good for any product, you may use the coupon for any product even if it is not pictured, unless the coupon states otherwise.
You may use a Dollar General coupon along with a Manufacturer’s coupon for the same item, as long as neither coupon states otherwise.
Unfortunately, due to fraudulent attempts, we are unable to accept internet coupons, unless they were e-mailed to you directly from Dollar General. To sign up for Dollar General promotional discounts and offers, please visit www.dollargeneral.com and click on the “Sign up for E-mails” link in the upper right corner of the page.
You are a valued customer here at Dollar General.
Kind regards,
Dollar General Corporation
As we have mentioned in our workshops, this is why it is so important to try and use your coupons as honestly as possible and not to copy coupons.
What you do today, affects all of us tomorrow.

Thanks for sharing this. I was treated not so nicely the other day at Wal-Mart using Internet printable coupons. They were totally legitimate and I also included a $5/$25 RiteAid coupon, since the Walmart (Schillinger Road) is accepting them. The cashier had to call a CSM to look at all of my Internet coupons and approve the RiteAid coupon. A simple transaction took a long time in the express lane and they told me that they had just been investigating a customer with over $45 of fraudulent coupons. They looked at me as if I were a criminal too and wanted to know where I got all of them (it was only a few-I only had a few items). I really used to be a big WalMart fan. You just can’t beat the friendly service and policies at Publix. I am getting really spoiled.
Thank you for posting this. The other day I called Winn Dixie’s corparate office (this had to do with the Target coupon that states it’s a manufacturer’s coupon) and the head of customer service called me back today. They are also considering not taking internet coupons because of alot of fraudulent coupons they have been getting. It is so sad that some people are taking advantage of using coupons and in the long run it may effect the rest of us honest coupon people. “What you do today, affects all of us tomorrow.”- such a GREAT statement !!!
I can’t get the coupons to print. I have downloaded the coupon printer several times from several locations. It says its loaded and ready to print but when I select to print a coupon it says I need the coupon printer again. Can anyone help me. Thanks donna
Sounds like you are trying to print a FireFox link in Internet Explorer.
TROUBLE PRINTING?
We have so many questions about trouble printing, we thought we would break down a common question. We have previously talked about this on our Trouble Printing post.
The Pepperidge Farm Cookie coupon is a good example of the differences in links between IE (Internet Explorer) and FF (Fire Fox). The Pepperidge Farm Crackers link is short so it will be easier to look at:
IE Link
http://bricks.coupons.com/Start.asp?tqnm=qjpkdrc72426024&bt=wi
&o=58779&c=PF&p=CiU0OFmY
FF Link
http://bricks.coupons.com/Start.asp?tqnm=qjpkdrc72426024&bt=wg
&o=58779&c=PF&p=CiU0OFmY
Do you see the difference? We have highlighted the two letters in bold; the “wi” in IE link and “wg” in the FF link.
Any bricks link that you run across that will not print in your Internet Explorer browser you can change those two letters to a “wi” and it should print.
