Pfizer has announced a new free medication program called “MAINTAIN”  (Medicines Assistance for Those who Are in Need) that will start 7/1/09.

Eligibility requirements of the new program include:

• Loss of employment from 1/1/09
• Currently prescribed a Pfizer medicine for at least 3 months prior to becoming unemployed.
• Lack of prescription drug coverage

People who qualify can receive their Pfizer medicines for free for up to 12 months.

There are more than than 70 Pfizer primary care medicines will be available through the program.
