Oh Mailbox Part II

PART I (for those of you who missed it back in June)
Oh, sweet mailbox, you bring me such wonderful things
Free coupons and samples you even bring me bling
Swiffer Master Card can’t be beat
second in line is the free subscription to BusinessWeek
Can it be true; you have brought me another
subscription to Working Mother
The abuse you take with the storms and sprinkles
today you brought me a sample for my wrinkles
You never complain even though you are worn out and looking bleak
you look like someone has dragged you down the street.
PART II
Oh, sweet mailbox, how good you are to me
you bring me giveaways and lots of things for readers to see
Our mail lady is probably exhausted from all this stuff
but she gently folds the magazines and hasn’t yelled “enough”!
If you are enjoing this mailbox poem you will have to admit
maybe, just maybe, you are “getting it“.
For the joy of waiting for the mail is a lot more than most can see,
for waiting and finding all the “happys” can be addicting.
