Silent Programs – Charitable Pharmacy

Silent Programs II

We have noticed that there are programs (government and private) that no one seems to know about. If they do, they are keeping it quiet. Well, we are going to try and bring these programs out in the open in hopes that it will inform the people who really need it.

For the second issue of silent programs, we just got a notice that there is a charitable pharmacy here in Mobile county. It is located on Dauphin Street in Mobile. Here is the information from their site which is at www.ozanampharmacy.org.

The Ozanam Charitable Pharmacy is a non-profit organization that provides life-sustaining prescription medication to persons with severely limited income and resources. We offer the medications free of charge to qualifying individuals.

Our pharmacy serves over 1000 individuals in Mobile, Baldwin and Escambia Counties in southwest Alabama and fills approximately 36,000 prescriptions annually. We rely on samples donated by area physicians to keep our shelves stocked and purchase generics as needed.

Our Access Your Rx program helps you get additional medications through pharmaceutical manufacturer Patient Assistance Programs and private foundations.

We work as part of a team along with those we serve and their physicians. Our promise is to serve you with courtesy and respect.
